Sathyam Repair Centre
We deliver training and livlihood programmes for women in the local community offering training and employment in tailoring and upcyling.
What we do
Based on the Kalaiselvi Karunalaya Social Welfare Society campus in Mogappair, the Sathyam Repair Centre supports women from local NGOs and disadvantaged backgrounds through training and apprenticeships in tailoring, garment repair, and textile upcycling, building practical skills, confidence, and sustainable livelihoods.

Our commitments
-
By providing paid work and skills development, we help women build flexible income and greater economic security for their families.
-
The Repair Centre reduces textile waste by extending the life of clothing and materials through repair and upcycling. This keeps materials in use for longer and contributes to a local circular economy.
-
The circular economy in Chennai is growing, and the Sathyam Repair Centre is part of a thriving and collaborative sector reducing textile waste across the city. Through repair, reuse, and local production, we contribute to practical solutions that keep materials in use and out of landfill.
