We are a recognized NGO established in Chennai, India, helping orphaned children, women in distress, neglected elderly and communities facing social exclusion by providing them shelter, counselling, empowerment and support to build a dignified and happy life.

We aim to empower the marginalized in our society in India and solve social challenges wherever we encounter them.

Where we began

Kalaiselvi Karunalaya Social Welfare Society was founded back in 1983 by Shri.A. Purushothaman who had the dream to educate the underprivileged and help marginalized communities.​

  • National award for child welfare for the year 2004
